📋 Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using namecentury.us ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Name Century LLC ("we," "us," "our") reserves the right to update these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email and in-app notification.

2. Account Registration & Security

You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts
• You may not create accounts on behalf of others without permission
• You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account
• Notify us immediately at support@namecentury.com if your account is compromised

3. User Conduct & Community Standards

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Post spam, scam, or fraudulent content
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Share hate speech, discriminatory, or violent content
• Create fake accounts or impersonate others
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Post adult or sexually explicit content
• Engage in unauthorized commercial activity

4. Content Policy

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant namecentury.us a non-exclusive license to display your content on the Platform.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates our Community Standards, with or without prior notice, subject to the enforcement process described in Section 5-7.

5. AI Automated Moderation Policy

namecentury.us uses artificial intelligence (AI) systems to automatically detect violations of our Community Standards and Terms of Service. These systems analyze user accounts, content, and behavior patterns to identify potential violations.

5.2 How AI Decisions Are Made

Our AI assigns a confidence score (0–100%) to each potential violation. Actions are only triggered when the confidence score exceeds the threshold for that module. All AI decisions affecting user accounts are subject to the Three-Strike System (Section 6) and the Appeal Process (Section 7).

5.3 Human Review Guarantee

namecentury.us guarantees that all formal appeals submitted through our Support Form will be reviewed by a human administrator or trained staff member. No appeal will be decided solely by AI. Human review takes 3–14 business days.

6. Three-Strike Enforcement System

All AI enforcement actions follow a mandatory three-strike protocol before any permanent action is taken. This ensures fairness and gives you multiple opportunities to correct violations.

6.1 Possible Enforcement Actions (Strike 3)

• Content Removal — Specific post, comment, or listing removed
• Temporary Suspension — Account suspended for 7–30 days
• Permanent Ban — Account permanently disabled (serious violations only)
• Feature Restriction — Specific features restricted (e.g., OA, Marketplace)

7. Right to Appeal & Review Process

We believe in fairness. If you believe an enforcement action was incorrect, you have the right to appeal within 30 calendar days of the action being taken.

7.2 Valid Grounds for Appeal

• ✅ The violation was unintentional or based on a misunderstanding of our policies
• ✅ Your account was hacked or compromised and someone else caused the violation
• ✅ Your personal information was stolen and used to create the violation
• ✅ The AI system made an incorrect determination (false positive)
• ✅ You have evidence that contradicts the AI's findings

7.3 Appeal Processing Times

All appeal submissions, supporting evidence, AI decision data, and communication records are retained for a minimum of 2 years. This data is used exclusively for appeal review and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Privacy & Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our full Privacy Policy is available at namecentury.us/privacy. Key points:

• We collect only data necessary to provide our services
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties
• You may request deletion of your data at any time
• All data is stored securely on US-based servers
• We comply with CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)

9. Payments & Subscriptions

Paid plans are processed securely via Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Recurring billing on your subscription cycle (monthly or annual)
• No refunds for partial months, except where required by law
• 7-day free trial for new Business plan subscribers
• Price changes with 30 days advance notice

To cancel your subscription, go to Settings → Billing → Cancel Plan. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Repeatedly violate our Community Standards (3-strike system)
• Engage in illegal activity
• Pose a security risk to other users

Terminations are subject to the Appeal Process in Section 7, except in cases of illegal activity or immediate safety threats.

11. Legal & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between you and Name Century LLC regarding the Platform.

• Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remainder continues in effect
